Jeff Bell

Jeffrey L. Bell (born December 13, 1943) is an American Republican Party politician, political consultant, author and former presidential speechwriter. He was the Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate from New Jersey in 1978, was a candidate for the Republican nomination for the Senate in 1982, and was the nominee against Democratic incumbent Cory Booker in 2014.
==Early and personal life==
A native of Washington, D.C., Bell is a graduate of Columbia University in New York City and a veteran of the Vietnam War.〔US News and World Report, "Two Tall, Young Ivy Leaguers Go At It", 10-9-1978, p.26〕 He is married to the former Rosalie O'Connell, the father of four children, and resides in Annandale in Fairfax County, Virginia, and Leonia in Bergen County in northeastern New Jersey
